the story

Ever since I recieved a copy of The Story from my parents - essentially, it is a condensed version of the Bible, with a lot of summary and bits of commentary, so the emphasis is on (guess what?) the story (narrative) - I've wanted to do the same-thing-only-better :) The story, with less condensed, and hopefully not too much removed! So this week I'm celebrating Holy Week by beginning there, with Jesus' final week. I'm using an interesting translation I discovered on Biblegateway called the Common English Bible (CEB) as a base, then supplementing/replacing with NIV and NKJV when I feel it's too trite, imprecise or wordy ^_^
